PVH systems: HANDWERKSTADT plenary meeting and joint marketplace with the PLUS 1 Group

New ideas for successful sales

After a forced break due to the pandemic, E/D/E resumed the concept of the distribution systems marketplace. The 40 or so exhibiting key suppliers recorded a lively atmosphere at their stands and numerous technical discussions with around 140 visitors from the HANDWERKSTADT and PLUS 1 sales groups. The day before, content-related decisions were presented and discussed at the plenary meeting of the HANDWERKSTADT Group.

The HANDWERKSTADT Group currently has 67 companies with 105 locations. 46 trade partners were represented at the plenary meeting – which was also held in person for the first time since 2019. Clemens Schorrer, Head of PVH Systems at E/D/E, outlines the focal points: “On the one hand, we are continuing to develop sales support, particularly with regard to digitalization. We have also launched a new model that strengthens commitment within the Group. Both initiatives are also expressly designed to offer our partners on the manufacturer side further added value.”

Commitment and digitalization
In concrete terms: In addition to the marketing portal for individual brochure design, which was successfully launched last year, HANDWERKSTADT is launching another pilot project: a microsite for power tools, which offers various advantages in addition to the preparation of digital catalogues, such as greater topicality, information on services and innovations and a direct connection to distributors’ webshops. E/D/E AKADEMIE is currently developing its own digital training platform for specialist information and products from contract suppliers.

Up-to-date and well-maintained article data is essential for any sales activity. E/D/E Head of Digital Services Jürgen Pannek reported to the participants on the status of the further development of the electronic Data Center (eDC), in which a new quality of data preparation and extraction is being achieved through the use of AI, among other things.

With the newly introduced commitment model, the Group is pursuing the goal of expanding and strengthening its focus on HANDWERKSTADT’s core suppliers. Specific supplier clusters were formed for the two main target groups of wood and metal processing. Specific components agreed include participation in training courses, events and marketing campaigns organized by the Group.

Figures, data and facts on the development of the Group and the election of the Advisory Board rounded off the General Meeting. Sebastian Hengst (Von Ohle GmbH, Essen) and Nico Großeschallau (Meesenburg GmbH, Gütersloh) were newly elected to the Advisory Board. Thomas Biersack (Praetner GmbH, Freising), Ludger Heseding (Heseding GmbH, Lohne), Michael Reiß (Koestner AG, Neustadt a. d. Aich), Bernd Lechtenberg (Altrogge & Meyer GmbH, Bocholt) and Christof Bareiss (Bareiss, Marktbreit) are also members of the committee. [daf]
