A positive outlook for the future

Although the construction industry is struggling with losses and even though business is not expected to pick up in the first half of 2024, the specialist group PRO.ELEMENT is cautiously optimistic about the second half of 2024. This was the mood at the specialist group’s meeting last November.

Around 50 participants from PRO.ELEMENT member companies met in Würzburg to find out about the course of the financial year and the specialist group’s plans. Central to this were the reports on the ELEMENTARES sales concept and the competence groups Contract, ELEMENTARES Service and Sun Protection & Façade, including the presentation of new suppliers.

Giving members every opportunity to be successful on the market, even in these challenging times, is the motto of the team led by Christian Zenk, E/D/E specialist area building components. The relaunch of the BAUWIKI presented during the conference should also contribute to this. The tool provides users with a modern design, a customer journey tailored to individual needs, distributors have new marketing options and suppliers also have access.

The FORUM Building Components 2024, which will take place in The Hague on April 25, was announced to the participants. For the tenth time, the focus will be on networking between suppliers and member companies. This small anniversary is to be celebrated in a special way.

A special feature: In cooperation with the specialist group and the Fraunhofer Institute, the PRO.ELEMENT Award will be presented for the first time at FORUM Building Components 2024. This is awarded to a supplier who makes a high contribution to productivity in the areas of “Networked planning”, “Lean processes”, “Efficient assembly” or “Sustainable production”. The jury for the award is made up of Thomas Kirmayr, Fraunhofer Building Innovation Alliance, and the advisory board of the PRO.ELEMENT specialist group.
