Welding technology: Marketplace 2024

Focused and efficient

The welding technology marketplace is becoming increasingly popular. At the sixth event in this series, suppliers and member companies once again met in Fulda to exchange ideas.

Detailed insights into product ranges, in-depth knowledge of products and offers, exchanges with well-known contacts in the sector and valuable new contacts: The stage was set for retailers and distributors. For the sixth time, the specialist group from the 22. until 23. April to Fulda for the welding technology marketplace – with growing popularity.

Added value

“Our suppliers’ interest in the marketplace is growing because they recognize its added value for their business,” says Ralf Stiegler, Head of E/D/E Supplier and Product Group Management Welding Technology. “This event is an important acquisition tool for sales. Nowhere else is there such a focus on the target group and therefore an extremely high reach.” The added value for member companies is also obvious: they receive technological updates on selected product ranges efficiently and in a condensed form, and the pre-organized discussions with suppliers give them a clear idea of product details and offers. This meant that 31 of the main concept suppliers from the E/D/E welding technology division were represented at the marketplace, including three new suppliers who were able to introduce themselves at their stands. The distributors organized in the specialist group were present with 101 representatives.

The last group print catalog

Another important aspect of the marketplace for suppliers as well as distributors is the interaction with the sector and competitors. The specialist group sees networking as its actual task. And there was no shortage of that either on the market square, during the evening meeting or at the event the evening before. An exciting addition to the event was a presentation whose topic interested everyone in the specialist group: The current print catalog for welding technology will be the last to be produced as a group version. In his presentation, Robert Kimmig, E/D/E Marketing, introduced the microsites – a future variant of the catalogues. Part of the event before the actual marketplace was a plenary meeting and the election of a new advisory board. [hw]
